Back View In dealing with a high-end foundry the head of the foundry said he always looks carefully at the back of any sculpture he gets in to cast. His conclusion after much experience is that the back of a sculpture is generally better because the artist did not put so much effort in it and so it is better artistically. Even knowing that, I am unable to put my thumb on the art scale of making it better in the front. There is more sculpture happening in the back. |
